Mirror Path Body Mapping–

–is a guided body scan you do before introspection to calibrate yourself. Before the real inner work starts, you move your attention through every part of the body you can consciously locate. The aim is to quiet mental noise, build physical awareness, and tie breath to attention.

How it works:

Settle. Sit, kneel or lie down, and relax.

Scan from top to bottom. Start at the crown of your head and stay there until you feel tingling. Then move down through the face, neck and shoulders, out along each arm to the individual fingers, and back. Go down the front of the body, inward to the spine, and spiral up the spine to the back. Then go through the hips, legs and feet, ending at each toe.

Return upward. Go back up through the body to the eyes. Rest your attention on the third-eye area.

Light visualization. Picture light of any colour running through every muscle and vein you just felt.

Breath cycle. On the inhale, the body lights up from head to ground. On the exhale, it dims. You take energy in from above and return it to the earth. Do this four breaths.

Where it fits in your system:

It comes before the Conscious Decision to Listen (the meditation itself), so it’s the ground floor of Awareness in ARIIA. It trains the observation skill the method depends on: noticing what’s there without judging or narrating it. You start on the body because a sensation is easier to observe neutrally than an emotion.

What it isn’t:

It isn’t the meditation, and it isn’t the processing work. It’s the warm-up that clears space for that work.
